It all started in 2015 with the Lookout Bar and Grill's car show in Maple Grove, MN which happens every third Wednesday of the month during summer months. When you attend the show with your classic car, each participant gets a ticket for door prizes. The Schumachers and Johnsons would go with their cars and for some reason they realized that most of the winning ticket numbers had an 8 in the number. That summer President Clint Johnson won a prize every month, of course with tickets with 8's. After numerous talks of starting a car club Tim & Sherry Schumacher, Clint & Sue Johnson, and Cory S. started The Rolling 8's Car Club.
